During sleep, the body heals through a process called REM (rapid eye movement). This is where we process the events of our day which include the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects. REM sleep is an important tool that we have to keep ourselves healthy and provide healing but we don’t give it much credit as it should deserve.
